NEW BRAND: Baum und Pferdgarten

Baum und Pferdgarten is one of the leading Danish fashion houses so we're really pleased to introduce their clothing to our store for Spring Summer. Their collections of clothing and accessories for women are full of playful design details and we have always been impressed by the quality of their fabrics and production. 

Creative Directors, Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, co-founded the brand in 1999 after graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Design. Their long-standing partnership has resulted in covetable pieces in beautiful fabrics, memorable prints and bold colours.

Baum und Pferdgarten strongly believes in the importance of circularity and is working to become more responsible in all aspects of its operations.  They are focused on constantly reducing the negative environmental impact of each collection they create.  Currently more than 50% of the collections have been sourced from more responsible fibres.

The SS23 Collection is called "A TIMELESS WOMAN” and explores the concept eternal style. We were particularly drawn to the colour palette for this collection when we were buying for Spring Summer 23 and saw the items on the rails of a showroom we visited.  Blue featured heavily - it's such a universally flattering colour and always fresh and uplifting for summer so we were really excited to see so many patterns and fabrics in a blue colour-way.

We love the fluid fabric used in the leopard Mallard Blouse and matching Nataly Trousers. We can imagine wearing both of those items a lot over the summer - the trousers with a white T-shirt and the blouse with wide-leg jeans.  Worn together the two create a really bold outfit - as seen on the catwalk in Copenhagen.

The luxurious silk trouser suit in multicoloured floral print was unlike anything we had seen before - a real investment piece we couldn't resist ordering in for ourselves.  We noticed that Rilke Baumgarten was wearing the jacket at their catwalk presentation too - so that's a real stamp of approval!

We chose three lovely dress options for spring and then concentrated the rest of our buy on separates - matching sets that can be worn together or separately to give plenty of styling options. Items of clothing that can be dressed up or styled down are always our wardrobe heroes.  As lovely as it is to get really dressed up for an occasion, those luxurious items that really step up our daytime outfits are the pieces we value the most.
